The Woof Walk is our annual fundraiser to support our shelter and the homeless animals in our community. All funds raised from the Woof Walk will be used for animal health care and veterinarian costs. Participants can fundraise by collecting online donations on CanadaHelps or by collecting using our printable pledge form. Feel free to build a team with family and friends - and most importantly have fun! We are aiming to raise $25,000 with your help. Let's make this our best "Woof Walk" yet!
Join us on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Alliston & District Humane Society Shelter for a fun-filled day. The walk will wrap around our ponds and all across our beautiful property.
Registration begins at 11am with the walk getting underway at 11:30am.
Enjoy these amazing activities at the event:
There are two options for trails that you can walk at the event, depending on your ability or preference! We have an easier 1km trail or a more difficult 3 km trail that wraps around our pond. Please be advised that our trails have uneven terrain; therefore, it is advised that you bring proper walking shoes. Strollers and wagons are welcome but may be difficult to manage on our longer trail, especially if the wheels are not designed to handle uneven ground.
Address: At the Shelter - 5545 Concession Rd 4, Everett, Ontario
Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
Time: Registration at 11:00am, Walk at 11:30am, BBQ and More at 12:00pm
If you can't attend, you don't have to miss out! You are welcome to still fundraise online and you can participate "virtually" by posting a photo of you walking on social media with #ADHSWoofWalk on the day of the event.
You can collect donations using our pledge form. If you’re collecting cash, the forms and money must be brought to the registration table on the day of the event.
Conveniently collect donations online on CanadaHelps.org and build a team with your friends/family for more fun! Get creative with your team and put the fun in fundraising!
Meet Timber, the mascot of this year's Woof Walk — and living proof of the life-changing work your support makes possible.
Timber's story isn’t an easy one to tell — but it’s one we’ve seen too often. He was abandoned in a local small town, kicked out of a car and left to survive on his own. For days, he lived behind a grocery store, scared, alone, and unsure of who to trust. When Timber was finally brought to the Alliston & District Humane Society, we knew he had a long road ahead of him.
He spent over a year in our care. His time in the shelter wasn’t easy — he struggled with difficult behaviours, stress, and reactivity around people. But thanks to the dedication and love of our volunteers, Timber slowly started to improve. He wasn’t just a dog in our kennels — he became a favourite among our team, each person cheering him on as he learned to trust, to listen, and to love again.
And then one day, it happened: Timber met the right family. Today, he’s thriving in a home that understands and embraces him — the kind of happy ending that keeps us going.
But Timber’s journey only happened because of supporters like you. Every dollar raised through the Woof Walk goes directly toward helping animals just like Timber — animals who’ve been hurt, abandoned, or forgotten, and who just need a second chance. Your support funds medical care, food, training, safe shelter, and most importantly, hope.
Please join us. Whether you walk, donate, or help fundraise — you are part of something truly meaningful. Together, we can make sure no animal is left behind.
