This event really couldn't have come together without the incredible efforts of all our volunteers to organize everything - operating the BBQ, ensuring the grounds were ready for the walk, running the registration table, giving the tours, setting up the tables and chairs, and so many more people behind the scenes to make the event the beautiful day that it was.

We also want to thank all the vendors who came out to sell their goods and support the Woof Walk! The rain held off for us and everyone enjoyed a little bit of shopping before and after the walk. It's no small feat to set up a booth so we appreciate you choosing our event and helping us to make it an extra special day for the participants.

Janet Dickson was a dedicated volunteer at ADHS for over 10 years and will be missed more than words can express.
Janet's love of animals took her to the Alliston Humane Society. Her time spent involved adoption coordinator of small pets, vet visits, educator and her endless hours at many of the fund raising events throughout the community.
Peacefully at Southlake Hospital, surrounded by her family on Saturday May 4th, Janet gained her wings after a valiant fight against Cancer.
She leaves behind the two loves of her life, Allen Cavdek her husband and her daughter Ashley. She will lovingly be remembered by her father Michael Huber (preceded her mother Shirley) Daughter-in-law of Stephanie Cavdek, Sisters Karen, Cindy, Natalie and Kally. Stepmother to Holly Bolland (Andrew), Michael Cavdek (Shelby) NANA to Presley Cavdek, Madilyn, Raelyn & Charlie Boland. Loving Aunt to Michael Scott (Katie) and Meagan Hennessy (Brad).
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at South Lake Palliative Care Unit for your compassionate care with Janet. Also, a very grateful thank you to her friends that have assisted her over the past few months.
A Celebration of Life is being held on Sunday June 9, at 2:00pm at the Alliston Legion, 111 Dufferin Street South Alliston Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations of food, bunny treats for the small animal department at the Alliston Humane Society would be appreciated.
