BAKE CUPCAKES

We're asking our supporters (you) to have a mini fundraiser bake sale of your own! Sell your delicious cupcakes (or other confectionery goods) to friends and family and donate the proceeds to the Alliston & District Humane Society on February 24th, 2025.

You can sell whatever kind of cupcakes you like! If you're not an expert baker you can get ready-made mix from the store, or even disguise pre-made ones from a store as your own (we won't tell!) If you are wanting to show off your skills to friends and family, this is a great opportunity to show off your cupcake decorating skills. Make it a fun, memorable event and create the cupcakes with your kids or grandkids! Maybe you don't like cupcakes and would rather sell cookies... That's okay too!

It is up to you how much you charge for a cupcake as it is your fundraiser! You can either donate the proceeds from the event so that your costs are covered or if you have the ingredients already at home, you can donate all the money you raise. It is best to tell your buyers how much will be donated from each purchase.

Example 1: "I'm selling these cupcakes for $3 each and all of the money raised will be donated to support the Alliston & District Humane Society."

Example 2:  "I'm selling these cupcakes for $3 each and $2 from every sale will be donated to support the Alliston & District Humane Society."

Some people may feel comfortable offering you cash, however nowadays a lot of people use online banking. Consider asking people for an interac e-transfer in exchange for a cupcake - interac e-transfers are (usually) free to send! 

Make sure to keep track of how many cupcakes you have sold to ensure you don't lose track of the donations. Keep the money you make in a safe place. Then just remember to donate what you've raised on February 24th! Sending it late is okay too, we'll still accept the donation! 😉

You can send an e-transfer to finance@allistonhumane.com and in the comments make sure to include that it was for the cupcake event! You can also drop off your donations to the shelter if you collected in cash (5545 Concession Road 4, Adjala-Tosorontio, Ontario).
